Dan Rawlings has trained horses since he moved to Texas at the age of 16.  From there he went to Florida, Louisiana and back to New York.  He has developed a strong work ethic and worked under some of the biggest names in the industry.  Dan has taken away bits of information from each to develop his own training program.

Dan teaches his horses suppleness through body control.  His school of thought comes from basic dressage principles and teaching self carriage.  The pace at which horses learn this depends on the individual animal.  Like people, they have different personalities and limitations.  He makes a point to not push any animal beyond what they mentally or physically can take.  Dan’s methods are effective and are geared specific to the individual horse to maximize their potential.
